Thymosin Alpha-1
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino acid peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue. It is one of the most extensively studied peptides for immune system modulation and has been the subject of research across immunology, oncology, and infectious disease.
Mechanism of Action
Tα1 is believed to enhance the activity of dendritic cells and T-lymphocytes, promote T-cell maturation, and modulate cytokine production. It may act through Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathways.
Research Background
Thymosin Alpha-1 was first isolated by Allan Goldstein in the 1970s. It has been studied in over 200 clinical trials worldwide and is one of the most well-characterized immunomodulatory peptides.
